Deliveries within Australia
We strive to send all items the quickest method available, which can and does range from Australia Post, Freight Companies, Couriers, Overnight Satchel and Express Post.
Authority to leave can be requested as well as specific delivery instructions in the notes section on the checkout page. Shine Trimmings & Fabrics take no responsibility for lost or damaged parcels should the parcel be left at a location determined safe by the courier.
We are unfortunately unable to redirect orders once items have been dispatched. Once goods have left our care, we will notify you and advise you of the tracking details.

FREE delivery is available to all orders over $200 whereby the cost of shipping is equal to a standard rate (should the shipping cost be significantly high we will need to contact you to obtain an additional payment for the cost over & above the standard rate).
All FREE delivery goods will be sent via standard post (should you require express post please ensure you choose this option during checkout - express post charges apply).
This FREE shipping offer cannot be used with any other promotional offer or discount (eg: Shine VIP discount) & may be disabled during sale times.
Orders under $200 within Australia
Standard Post: Parcels are sent out using standard shipping. Delivery times can vary, depending on your location. Please allow 2-10 business days for standard delivery. Regional orders may take longer.
Western Australian standard deliveries may experience longer times due to the road/rail transport system. Should you live in Western Australia and require prompt delivery we encourage you to select Express Post at checkout.
Express Post: If you require your goods to be sent urgently, please select Express Postage when checking out. Express shipping is available to most postcodes in Australia with some areas having next business day estimated delivery while others have 2-3 business days estimated delivery.
Update: Express Post remains the fastest postal delivery option, but current circumstances mean Australia Post no longer guarantee next-business-day delivery.
Shipping Insurance
At a small additional cost you can add shipping insurance to your order giving you piece of mind for your delivery. Simply check the 'Add Shipping Insurance' box located on the checkout page when you place your order to arrange. Shipping insurance will cover the replacement of your goods if they are are lost or damaged while they're in the care of Australia Post.
- Cover is available for parcels valued up to $5,000.
- Claims can only be made for the replacement of the goods and not for consequential loss due to damage, delayed delivery or loss.
- If in the unfortunate circumstance you have experienced a lost or damaged parcel during shipping and took out shipping insurance for that order please fill out the Shine Returns/Claims form and provide as much evidence as possible to support the claim.
International Shipping
Shine ship fabrics and trimmings to customers with locations all over the globe including Asia, Canada, Europe, Middle East, New Zealand & the USA as well as many more. Please view the 'Countries We Ship To' toggle at the top of this page to learn which countries we ship to.
Standard International: Standard international post provides tracking only. Estimated delivery times are dependant on the destination. Cost is subject to the chosen destination country and will be calculated at checkout.
Express International: Express international post provides tracking and signature required. Estimated delivery times are dependant on the destination. Cost is subject to the chosen destination country and will be calculated at checkout.
International orders may be subject to additional tax/customs duties imposed by the destination countries authorities. These costs are the responsibility of the customer and may cause delays in deliveries in some situations.
Over The Phone Orders
Orders placed over the phone incur a standard delivery fee of $17 or express shipping fee of $26. These fees are higher than our online delivery fees to cover staff processing and handling costs.
Sending Large Parcels
Calculating shipping costs is complex & influenced by weight, size & destination. If the shipping cost of your parcel is significantly high we will contact you to obtain an additional payment to cover this cost.
Please allow 3-10 business days for delivery of large parcels.
Regional Areas
Should you live in a regional area and the cost of sending your order is greater than what you have paid we may contact you directly to obtain payment for additional freight costs.
FREE Click & Collect
If you don’t need your order delivered, simply select Click & Collect at checkout. Instructions on how to choose this option can be found here. Once your order has been processed, Shine Trimmings & Fabrics will notify you that your order is ready for collection. Parcels are to be collected from our store at 421 Graham Street, Port Melbourne.
Order Processing Times
- Orders received by 11am (AEST) Monday – Friday, are typically processed the same day.
- Orders received after 11am (AEST) are typically processed the following business day.
- Orders received on Saturday, Sunday or Public Holidays are typically processed the following business day.
During busy times a longer processing time can be expected. Delays of 1-2 days can also be expected if we need to transfer stock from our warehouse to complete your order. We always attempt to prioritise express shipping orders.
Holiday Periods
We will notify customers via our website & Facebook page of holidays & times the store is closed due to public holidays & Christmas closure dates. Orders will not be dispatched for delivery during these times.
Back Orders
In some cases, shipping may be delayed if any items are out of stock & you want your order to wait until all goods arrive in stock. Shine Trimmings & Fabrics will notify you of these instances, via email or phone. Goods will only be placed on Back Order if you request this.
