The cost of international shipping is subject to the destination & will be calculated at checkout. Shipping fees do not cover custom duties or any other taxes imposed which are the customers responsibility.
*Our shipping costs are based on orders that can be shipped using postage satchels up to 5KG. Please see below (under Sending Large Parcels) for shipping costs on parcels over 5KG. All estimated delivery times are based on the delivery times published by Australia Post and we are not responsible for any unexpected delays in delivery.
Order processing times
Orders placed before 1pm on business days are typically processed the same day. Orders placed after 1pm are typically processed the next business day. Please note during busy periods a longer processing time can be expected.
Deliveries within Australia
Shine Trimmings & Fabrics send out parcels using the carrier of our choice. We strive to send all items the quickest method available, which can and does range from Australia Post, Freight Companies, Courier, Overnight Satchel and Express Post.
As we utilise different postage options our delivery instructions can be Signature Required (with the option to contact Australia Post to request Authority To Leave during the delivery process) or Authority to Leave. Should you want us to deliver using Authority to Leave which enables you to specify delivery instructions please advise in the notes section on the checkout page. Please note Shine Trimmings & Fabrics take no responsibility for lost or damaged parcels should the parcel be left at a location determined safe by the courier driver.
We are unfortunately unable to redirect orders once items have been dispatched. Once goods have left our warehouse, we will notify you and advise you of the tracking number.

Orders under $150 within Australia
STANDARD POST – Shipping rate of $9.95 including GST
All parcels are sent out at a set shipping cost of $9.95 regardless of size or location in Australia. Delivery times can vary, depending on your location & the postage delivery service used. Please allow up to 10 business days for standard delivery. Regional orders may take longer.
Please note: Western Australian standard deliveries may experience longer than expected delivery times due to the Australia Post road/rail transport system. Should you live in Western Australia and require prompt delivery of your order we highly encourage you to select Express Post at checkout which will ensure it travels via air.
EXPRESS POST – Shipping rate of $17 including GST
If you require your goods to be sent urgently, please select Express Postage when checking out. Express Post parcels are delivered to all postcodes in Australia with same areas having next business day delivery while others have 2-3 business days delivery. You can check the Australia Post website to determine which will apply to your delivery location. Please note Shine Trimmings & Fabrics have no control over delivery items once they leave our premises and we cannot be held accountable for late deliveries caused by third party delivery services.
At a small additional cost you can add shipping insurance to your order giving you piece of mind for your delivery. Simply check the ‘Add Shipping Insurance’ button located on the checkout page when you place your order to arrange. Shipping insurance will cover you if your goods are lost or damaged while they’re in the care of Australia Post.
- Cover is available for parcels valued up to $5,000. There is no cover for valuables which contain cash, gold, jewellery, precious stones or negotiable securities, any other substance or thing the carriage of which is prohibited by Law or under the Australia Post Terms and Conditions.
- Claims can only be made for the replacement of the goods and not for consequential loss due to damage, delayed delivery or loss.
- If in the unfortunate circumstance you have experienced a lost or damaged parcel during shipping and took out shipping insurance for that order please fill out the Shine Returns/Claims form and provide as much evidence as possible to support the claim.

STANDARD INTERNATIONAL – Standard international post provides tracking only. Estimated delivery times are 3-10 business days. Cost is subject to the chosen destination country and will be calculated at checkout.
EXPRESS INTERNATIONAL – Express international post provides tracking and signature required. Estimated delivery times are 2-4 business days. Cost is subject to the chosen destination country and will be calculated at checkout.
Sending Large Parcels
Our shipping costs are based on orders that can be shipped using postage satchels up to 5KG. Should your order not fit within a 5KG postage satchel we may contact you directly to arrange alternative shipping which will incur additional freight costs.
Delivery of larger items which do not comply with Australia Post, such as large boxes, bulk quantities or Fabric Rolls, are sent using other delivery methods. These orders cannot be sent to P.O. Boxes. Please make sure to provide a fixed Street address for delivery of these items. A signature may be required on receipt; therefore we recommend you provide an address where you will be located during business hours.
Please allow up to 3-5 business days for these parcels.
All orders have a tracking number, and signature on delivery is sometimes required. If you wish to give authority to leave your parcel unattended at your required delivery address, you must indicate this at check out with delivery instructions. By giving your authority to leave your order unattended, you understand this is done at your own risk and Shine Trimmings & Fabrics, nor the shipping company, will be responsible for any damage caused to parcels or missing parcels.
Order delivery times are provided, as a guideline and Shine Trimmings & Fabrics do not take responsibility for any delays caused by freight companies.
FREE In Store Pickup
If you don’t need your order sent, simply select FREE, in-store pickup at checkout and once we receive your order we can pack the goods and have the parcel ready to be collected at your convenience. Once your order is completed, Shine Trimmings & Fabrics will notify you that your order is ready for collection. Please allow a minimum of 2 hours, however, collection times may vary due to busy periods. Parcels are to be collected from our store at 421 Graham Street, Port Melbourne.
Same Day Order Processing
- Orders received by 1pm (AEST) Monday – Friday, are typically processed & sent the same day.
- Orders received after 1pm (AEST) are typically processed & sent the following business day.
- Orders received on Saturday, Sunday or Public Holidays are typically processed & sent the following business day.
Please note: During busy times a longer processing time can be expected. We always attempt to prioritise express shipping orders.
Sale Order Processing Times
During busy times when Shine Trimmings & Fabrics have SALE periods and receive higher than usual customer enquires & orders, please allow up to 3 additional days on top of estimated processing times. We will endeavour to send out all orders as quickly as possible.
Holiday Shipping Times
We will notify customers via our Website & the Facebook page, of Holidays & times the store is closed due to Public Holidays & Christmas closure dates. Delivery will not be made during these times.
In some cases, shipping may be delayed if any items are out of stock & you want your order to wait until all goods arrive in stock. Shine Trimmings & Fabrics will notify you of these instances, via email or phone. Goods will only be placed on Back Order if you request this.
