The Nutcracker
When the clock strikes midnight the magic begins...
Christmas has come early this year for audiences of Peter Wright's The Nutcracker, having just completed a successful fortnight wowing audiences at Melbourne’s Art Centre, The Australian Ballet is taking its Sugar Plum Fairy, Giant Mice and Handsome Prince and heading to the Sydney Opera House from 28th November - 17th December.
We at Shine were lucky enough to have an inside look at how the Australian Ballet Company prepared for the performance and it is safe to say we were more than inspired. Not only by the meticulous dancers, breathtaking chorography and moving music, but also by the exquisite costumes and incredible sets that together in harmony transported audiences to the Magical World that is The Nutcracker
